Dodge Dart giveaway prompts ideal attendance explosion
Evidently, the It's a Gasoline to Go to Class plan has been very successful. Not only has Victorville Motors seen an enormous increase in the number of cars sold in the last 18 months as a result of plan, it has also seen a huge increase in ideal work at participating schools. The schools have also seen a huge increase in academic performance and overall work.
"I had no idea how successful it would be," said 47-year-old Victorville Motors dealer principal Tim Watts.
The dealership is very interest in raising funds for local organizations and has been involved in the community. Victorville Motors considered giving away an automobile when a local parent asked about it.
"It wasn't just about us. We wanted to do it as a multi-layered approach and an outreach that includes other local businesses," said Watts.
Seller and schools make money from it
In 2012, Victorville Motors saw a huge increase in car sales to 850 brand new automobiles and 756 used automobiles. This success is in part because of the Dodge Dart marketing. There has also been a huge increase in school attendance. Six school districts and 12 high schools are participating in the plan. There used to only be 15 to 20 children with ideal work, but that number has increased to hundreds of pupils since the plan started.
Students are motivated towards ideal work with supplemental prizes such as gift cards. Pupils who maintain a perfect work record will be able to participate in the Dodge Dart raffle with golden tickets they are given. The winner's parents will generally get the car if the winner is under 18 since minors are not permitted to win vehicles in the state of California. This is how the raffle works, and it has clearly been effective.
